Some hybrids are trailing, some are not...I prefer the ones that aren't...They are "planter" flowers here but look nice in the garden too
Its a Petunia!! Closely related to the tobacco plant...My favourite flowers...An annual here in Canada....Pick off the dead to make it bloom twice :)
