Now that I look at it, I realize that it doesn't have a tube-nose so it's not of the petrel family...it looks like a alcid, like maybe a murrelet?
Looks a lot like a diving petrel... But those are out of range...the wings are really short to be most types of petrels...
Added two more of the top and bottom. It crops weird...
It appears to be a Shearwater species. Any other photos, maybe one where we can see the whole bird?
