Description:

A small, 40 cm high,tubular plant, by the side of a small pond.

Habitat:

Urban, 2500 meters over the sea level, in the Ecuadorian Andes.

Species ID Suggestions

Southern giant horsetail (snake grass, horsetail grass)

Equisetum (giganteum or arvense)

Yes, in fact I think it is an equisetum ... but it's smaller than any other specie I've seen here.
I know, but the positioning I can't find anything that matches. However, it sure seems to be an Equisetum.
It's almost half the size or more that Equisetum giganteum. This one is about 40 cm high.
Though I am not exactly sure of which species of Equisetum this would be I think that it is a member of this genus.
