Information re: dragonfly and damselfly larvae is generally scarce. I highly recommend a great video segment by BBC Nature Wildlife: http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/life/Dragonfly#p00gcnfc I have seen only one spotting on Project Noah of an odonate larva, although there may be others I've missed. Damselfly (naiad) by Aaron_G http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/12669731
@ Geodialist it is already dead when i had take photograph but after this photograph i many time visit that same place to find larva but i didn't find it.... i have photographs of all the stage except larva....and i didn't have any information about it...can you tell me where i can get information about it ....? special on Indian dragonfly... because there is less information about Indian dragonfly and damselfly...
This spotting appears to be an emergent dragonfly, that is, a dragonfly metamorphosing from a larva to an adult. Dragonflies get "stuck" during emergence sometimes, which is fatal. Did you observe the dragonfly long enough to see whether it lived or died?
Looks like a deceased dragonfly.
wouw...what it is..maybe someone wanna help ID..
