Field Notes

Notes:

Obviously some type of fungus. Lol. I was so excited about this one! I was mowing my grandmother's lawn and happened to spot it in her creeping phlox. It has a diameter of about 5 inches, height of 6 inches (in extremities). It is pretty hard; growing off a cut off stump that has been dead for several years. It has even grown around some of the phlox (right side in photo 4).
