Field Notes

Description:

White with a dirty tan cap, concave in shape. Gills are white and do not attach to the stem. Mushroom feels dry and firm. Stem is hollow

Habitat:

Near the corner of a lawn, growing out of dirt. Very shaded all day.

Notes:

Found what looked like to be more under a nearby apple tree, except the caps had developed a bark like top. Almost like the extra sunlight exposure browned the top. The gills on the bigger ones are brown.
