Field Notes

Description:

This is a flower, which is growing near by the water. Its petals a green and long, but for that not very wide. Its bloom is red. The corolla is far over the bottom (30 cm. - 50cm.)

Habitat:

The picture is made in Kanchanaburi, at the River Khwai in central Thailand. It was during the rainy months in August. Thailand is a tropical country with rain monsoons from May to September and dry monsoons at the rest of the year.

Notes:

It was on a rainy day.
