Description:

Small brown and white mottled insect (leaf hopper?) that looks like a little patch of lichen peeling off a tree. It's body angles up when standing.

Notes:

Apparently likes to chill on lunch boxes.

Definitely a sharpshooter/leafhopper, Cicadellidae, Cicadellinae. Looks close to this one, but I am not 100% sure about the range of this one and the correct ID. Take it as a hint! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10274847
