okk thanx for the info... i was little bit confused.. bt my query is solved by u.. thanx again... :)
When I look at photos of Straight Swifts, the antennae appear too short and the eye-to-head size ratio doesn't look right compared to this sighting. The antennae on a stright swift also ast a bit of a point at the end of the ball - this sighting does not.
This is definitely a skipper - but not a Brown Awl skipper. The body and wing markings are not there. There are hundreds of skippers in India alone, and many worldwide. We have a few here in North Texas where I live. They're all slightly different. I believe this is an Abscent Ace due to the striped abdomen and the spot pattern on the front-set wings.
