White-lipped was my first thought, too, but it seems to look more like Trimeresurus erythrurus, due to the yellow being more prominent on the face than any white. http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Asia/India/Northeast/Meghalaya/photo218935.htm
This is a species of pit viper, Trimeresurus spp. It may be the White-lipped Pit Viper - Trimeresurus albolabris http://www.indiansnakes.org/Snakedatabase/Pit%20vipers/Pit%20vipers.html
