Field Notes

Description:

I picked up this plant at Lowes a couple days ago. It was on the "marked down" rack, a little wilted and looked malnourished as most marked down plants are. I couldn't pass up something this cool looking for a whopping $7.99 so I rescued it! Only thing is, the tags had no name on it and I forgot to ask someone at Lowes if they knew.

We've had some hot days here in San Diego and where I keep it, it gets pretty much about 6-8 hrs of direct sunlight per day. Today when I did a thorough check I noticed some of the buds dried out and are falling off, including new forming buds. I've been giving it enough water so I'm not so sure if this plant is one that cannot handle direct sun?

If I can get a name for it, I can begin to know how to care for it. Thanks!
