Field Notes
Description:
This is a beautiful turquoise blue moth that I am seeing for the first time. It has a pair of forward-pointing pectinate antennae. Even that was for the first time. Many Tussock moths have forward-pointing antennae, but they are usually bushy.
This is a smallish moth. Wing lenth: 24 mm.
Habitat:
This is a village resort facility, located in a big agricultural area and surrounded by huge forests around it. Place has high humidity. Cool to warm place. Altitude: 1,500 m.
Notes:
This moth had visited my light and sheet put up at the night, and photos were taken in the morning.
I could not place it nearer any family, pl help for an early ID.
I want to share this with friends as my 3,000th spotting!
