Field Notes

Description:

I believe these to be common 'bumble bees' or 'honey bees'. I was always under tge impression they were the same.. But there are so many different types of bees. Theses guys appear to of the larger type but not quite as round as I've seen others to be.

Habitat:

This was in my from garden. Across from us we have a meadow/field and forest. Mid/northern Alberta. Current day temperatures range from 4-18 celsius.

Comments (1)

Honey bees and bumble bees are in two different groups. The bumble bees are less brown and more a striking black with yellow or orange, and real fuzzy. But you're right--there's really a lot of kinds of bees!
