Field Notes

Description:

A wood fungi
Found it on the floor. There was a whole bunch of them just on the floor. I figured they had fallen off the tree above us.

The last two photos are closeups of the pores on the underside of the mushroom

Habitat:

I wouldn't worry too much about the white.. maybe have a look at Ryvardenia ?
Hi Jenny - in those last two shots it looks like instead of pores they are raised nodules.. is that possible?
No i don't think so. They didn't have the white band. and were thinner than those i think.
http://australianfungi.blogspot.com.au/2010/09/48-trametes-versicolor.html - did any of them look like this? I can see marking on yours so it could be?
