Field Notes

Description:

Large abdomen, about large black spots on the back of the abdomen. Spider is brown, with variations of tones and black markings. Legs are striped with black and brown stripes, femurs seem to have more of a reddish-brown town. Spider is eating a yellow ladybug.

Habitat:

Temperate climate, mixed hardwood forests, Ozark upper south. Found under deck roof in hill-country with large field. Food supply includes lady bugs, Mosquitos, and various flies.

I also removed this spotting from the Lost Ladybug Project mission. That mission is for spottings of Ladybugs only. Even though the spider is eating a Ladybug, it is difficult to see in the picture and your focus is on the spider.
