That is definitely a blue tongued skink! <3 They are native to Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guniea. I have two of them as pets! Unfortunately, I'm still learning about all the different sub species so I am not sure if the one in you picture is a Tiliqua scincoides or a Tiliqua gigas. Check out the link I gave you! Everything you ever wanted to know about BTS can be found there and their forum is awesome. If you post a picture, the experts on there can ID it for you for sure. Did you find this little guy or pick it up from a pet shop? They make great pets!
Yea, this isnt a native to the US. If you found it somewhere it's probably somebody's pet that escaped or that they released. Sadly, that's really common in FL...(pythons in the Everglades...)
