Field Notes

Description:

This beautiful creature has bright red and yellow markings- one in the shape of a heart on its back. It doesn't appear to have wings, but has a long thin black protrusion coming from where you'd assume the mouth to be which was tucked under its body.

Habitat:

Found in the central valley area of Costa Rica on a tree near my school.
