Species ID Suggestions

Robin

Turdus migratorius

Comments (1)

They can have different shades of red on their feathers. The European robin are smaller than the American robin. They share environments with many animals, such as a cardinal in certain areas. Robins often hover where wild pigs are digging so they can pick in the fresh dirt for worms. (commensalism) Robins have sturdy legs to help them run and hop to evade predators. Robins go through sexual reproduction. They can be found in North and South America and Europe. They eat worms. Some cats, foxes, and other birds will eat their eggs, but no real predators aside from other robins at times. I found this Robin on my back porch at the beginning of September.
