All my life I'd been calling gulls "seagulls". Only to learn a couple years ago there is no such bird as a "seagull", if one wants to be persnickety. :) This photo is sorta hard to make out details, but I'm calling it a Herring Gull based on region, it's common, and that bird does look on the large size. Wish I could see the bill a bit better. Anyone with a better ID feel free to shoot mine down. :)
