All of these molluscs were up to 3cm in length. There hundreds of them on the exposed coastal rocks.

Coastal on rocks.

Hi iGo! Yes I'm fairly sure these are molluscs. There were hundreds of them stuck all over the rocks in & out of the water.
Coenobita cavipes usually uses empty shell that molluscs. Are you sure that organism inside shell is molluscs?. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coenobita_cavipes
