Field Notes

Description:

Purple mushroom growing in rocky soil in deciduous forest. I didn't want to remove the cap, so I do t have much else to aid in identification. Could be Cortinarius cyanites or Cortinarius violaceus.

Habitat:

Deciduous forest, near rotten wood and rocks.
