Field Notes

Description:

Grows on logs and trees. Seems to be in sevseral places and has been seen before so i think this shoud be appointed as a common fungus.

Habitat:

Forested areas. Was spotted in forested areas of Central of The U.S.

Notes:

Probably not your everyday meal. I wouldn't suggest using it as a foot step for climbing trees, either. Especially once your up high in the tree. This fungus is still a decomposer so don't just go around killing them.

A nice spotting. The photo gives a different date than the date saying when it was spotted.
