Field Notes

Description:

Located in Indiahoma, Oklahoma in and among shrub oak, another type of oak trees with tiny acorns, junipers and pecans. Found on ground. Couldn't find any on a tree.

Notes:

Found this on the property of a new home we are buying...couldn't figure out what tree it dropped from..in and among huge shrub oaks, pecans and junipers..at first reminded me of hazelnut but I realize its not but I'm perplexed. Anyone seen these tree seeds before?
