Field Notes

Description:

The coolest bird nest I've ever seen!! How was it made..?! And by whom? The grass was poked up through the leaf at both ends, creating the perfect little waterproof hammock :)

Habitat:

Rainforest. Wehea Protected Forest of East Kalimantan, Indonesia (island of Borneo)

Notes:

The nest itself was probably 1ft in length. I wish I had taken an anterior shot showing the little pieces of grass poking through the top of the leaf
