Field Notes

Description:

Approximately 3" across. Edges are white with top shading from light brown to dark brown spot at top. Surface appeared shiny. Underside is white. Stalk is sturdy.

Habitat:

Found growing in the grass of the front lawn.

Notes:

Connecticut had had an extended period of rain and dampness. The front lawn sprouted fungus in what I perceived to be several different species.
