Field Notes

Habitat:

Spotted on the wall of a small hamlet house of local populace. The area is half inhabited by the army (nearby is the India-China - TAR - border). The place has lots of rocky mountains and rest is barren. Small bushes come up hurriedly around June. Bloom quickly, dry and remain barren again. It remains covered under snow most part of the year.
Rhododendron and silver fir forests are seen some 3 - 4km lower down. If you google you can see Chhongo Lake just below the hamlet.
Altitude: 4,200m

Thanks Maria dB for the guidance. In fact I've been doing that whenever I manage to grab some free time, and some spottings that had quite an impact on me.
Thank you for adding the information! If you could do that in the habitat section of all your spottings, they become even more interesting to viewers when they see them. It needn't be a long description unless you feel inspired!
Very pretty moth! Could you tell us in what kind of place you saw it (in the habitat section)? Thanks.
