Description:

Blue to lavender pod-shaped flowers, about 1.5" long, in small clusters low to the ground at the very edge of a lake in early Novenmber. Smooth-edged oval leaves. Most plants one or two blooms a couple inches above the ground; largest about 12" tall with clusters of flowers all along the stem.
