Wildlife Spotting

According to my research there are three types of horned tortoise beetles here in CR. One has to be catalogued and the other two are biplagiata and aurita. Neither one of them resemble yours. I couldn't find a photo of the uncatalogued speciman. I am comfortable with the spotting suggestion of dorynota sp. for now. There are many instances where only a dissection could reveal the actual species information. Wonderful find. I can't believe I haven't seen one in my area yet.

Hmm... I look through quite a lot of beetle pages but did not find any reasonable match for Toroise and Horn... So maybe it is something completely different??

I have no idea about the size of US currency but I guess it is rather a small beetle, so not any of the bigger ones like the elephant beetle. The more I look the more I am confident with some kind of a Tortoise Beetle. But now IDea of what type. Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae, Cassinae.

Looks like be some kind of a Tortoise Beetle. Never seen such one. Please, add some more info about the size.
