Field Notes

Description:

Tiny butterfly with Purple Wings (Or violet?). The Colour looks darker while flying. Hardly 3/4th of an inch across. See the size of the yellow flower (Mukkutti - Biophytum Sensitivum, English : Sikerpud ?) to compare. Flies closer to the ground.

Habitat:

Mine is a village with hillocks + paddy fields + bush. Thick vegetation especially after the summer rains.

Notes:

Never seen it earlier. This was spotted after the recent summer rains.

The Blues are one of the tougher ones. You most likely need the underside of the wings where most of the identifiable markings are.
