Description:

Looks like s type of patterned wing diptera. It was atleast an inch in diameter. Landing on flowers in Guatemala forest area.

I think this is a Bee Fly from the Bombyliidae. It looks like it belongs to the Genus Exprosopa. I have looked through many images in inaturalist.org, but have not yet found an exact match for the wing pattern. You might want to look at E. dorcadion.
