Well I hope to get back to the site & dig one up...not sure 100%
....so it's a giant clam. auntnance123 is right then. I've learnt something new today..thanks ! I should have known from the mighty squirts and from the shallowness of the waters.
It looks like a tunicate ( sea squirt) judging by your still-shot . It clearly shows an incurrent siphon on top and an excurrent siphon a little to one side. http://www.clarku.edu/departments/biology/biol201/2006/mtrivette/morphologies.htm Great spotting ceherzog - and I love the video. I've only seen short little weak squirts of water !
aunt nance...it seems as though that could be it...I just don't have a clue, I've never seen anything like it. I should have waded in and dug one up I guess. I certainly thought about clams. Thanks...I'll wait & see if anyone concurs.
