Anyone know whisk species of Chafer beetle this is?. Thanks.
I visited the spot where I saw the original insect, a few days later. Fortunately it (or a family member) was still there, so I was able to get another angle.

Taken me a while to track down this I.D. But Zhao MingZhi indicates this is Goliathopsis ferreroi Antoine, 1991. Apparently it is an uncommon scarab beetle.
Welcome to PN. Maybe try subfamily dynastinae..
Interesting beetle. Can't see much of the elytra - deformed perhaps ??
