Description:

I really don't know how to describe it. This is some sort of fruit or dried mushroom that is stuck to this twig. Looked intriguing hence uploaded it. Maybe someone could help me with this mystery :)

Daedaleopsis confragosa??? (MushroomExpert.Com)
I tried to look at it closely it looked like some squashed fruit!
I'm guessing it is a mushroom of some species. How was it attached to the twig?
Anyone up for the challenge of really helping me know what this is???
