Description:
Fleshy, three segmented head. Leaves in threes, halfway down stalk. 16-18" tall. Pod diameter 1 1/4". Only one around.
Habitat:
Alt: 8000'
Partially shady, old clear cut fir forest. High/dry, well drained duff/soil. Just inside the tree line of thinned out, coniferous forest. 500 ft. Uphill from nearest creek. Surrounded mostly by low, woody vegetation.
Notes:
Looks like Lilly family. Can't find positive ID. Bigger and more angular than anything I've seen.
