Wildlife Spotting

thanks Francis!, i know Ashish, anyways abdomen sounds more polite than behind and its anatomically correct, thanks. And Adarsha, more details: well it is a temperate forest in Mexico City, in the mountains that sorround it, the lower part about 2700 m asl is a Quercus rugosa forest, it was on an Asteraceae species plant leaf, this site is kind of polluted with introduced plant species and cattle and agriculture, which are the main disturbances occuring here plus pollution and fragmentation, im very afraid it will disappear soon. There is a river, the last one in the city, polluted as well. And the surprise i found another pic, didnt see in detail and thought it was the same as the one i up loaded first, but its another view and the head of this fly is easier to see.

Thanks Ashish, yes I checked up the Trachinidae family as Juan suggested and it matches the characteristics of my hairy behind fly, though i know nothing about insects. Im more into plants...Thanks for all your help people in project Noah, its the best site!! And yes, next time i have the chance to see this fly ill try to take more pics Adarsha! :)

thanks Adarsha, i liked the shadow on the leaf...i wanted to take the picture of its face but it was very hard to walk and i was going to scare it...:)
