Field Notes

Description:

White, irregularly shaped, soft mushrooms. Small to medium sized. Somewhat slimy and fuzzy at the same time. The caps had brown areas. Prominent white gills. Stem was short or unnoticeable (white as well). Saprobic.

Habitat:

Growing on logs in a forest, High Rock Park.

Notes:

Could they be oyster mushrooms?

Thanks! Maybe, and I just looked at your spotting. It does look similar to mine but yours has a sort of lumpy texture, but since it's also larger, maybe that's what mine will look like as it grows? Interesting.
