This dragonfly looks very similar to a male Autumn Meadowhawk dragonfly (Sympetrum vicinum), a species of dragonfly located in the United States of America. I searched the "Asian Species List" for Sympetrum (on the "Asia Dragonfly" Web site). Closest match seems to be Sympetrum eroticum eroticum http://www.asia-dragonfly.net/globalResults.php?Species=1462 Can I get a second opinion? Related Resource: http://www.asia-dragonfly.net/
Clearly a dragonfly, but what species? I spotted this one in Tokyo.
