Description:

mature puffball, nearly hollow, thick brown smoke comes out of the hole when squeezed. I'm leaning towards the pigskin posion puffball - Scleroderma citrinum, but not sure.

Habitat:

dead log, temperate forest

Notes:

I spotted a lot of these at Shot Hills provincial park.
