Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Just a few suggestions to move identification along. The look of the gills could suggests a few different common types of gilled mushrooms such as Waxcap or they are sometimes called waxycaps, or the Cortinarius. Geting more specific mushroom identification requires other physical clues such as spore prints and sometimes even a picture of the bottom of the mushroom base. For example, Cortinarius species are known to have bulb shaped tips at the bottom of the stem. Sometimes a general guide to Florida Fauna and Florida might help https://greennature.com/florida/
