I agree with Laura - Shikra. Among other things, Peregrines are much darker above.
can you also help me in confirming this spotting? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/16071201 doubting between a brahminy kite juvenile or balck kite? Thanks
thanks for the suggestions should be Shikra only and I go with it :-)
I doubt it too, but I saw a subspecies of peregrine falcon called minor, and it looks pretty similar to this one, sorry if my suggestion wasn't accurate, it's just a suggestion anyways... :)
this was spotted in open near ranganthittu bird sanctuary
r u sure this is a Peregrine Falcon? Check the eyes? I was doubting between a Shikra vs Eurasian Sparrowhawk
