Thanks so much! I thought the fungus was kind of me, and even a little bizarre, And I was curious to know the species of that so thank you very much. And the butterflies I felt like they were flirting with each other and posing for pictures it was lovely!! I love Noah already!
Wow! Crazy lucky Nesira, you have 2 spottings in one here! The fungi is the elegant stinkhorn - Mutinus elegans. The smaller butterfly is the red spotted purple - Limenitis arthemis. The other butterfly is possibly an eastern black swallotail - Papilio polyxenes but not 100% sure about that. Also welcome to Noah!
