Field Notes

Description:

Sent this caterpillar in to butterfliesandmoths.org for identification but it couldnt be identified. It is certainly a moth in the genus Orgyia. My suggestion was originally Orgyia vetusta. Can anyone confirm an ID?

Habitat:

Oak grove where i was camping at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company.

Species ID Suggestions

try bugguide.net That sight seems to work better for ID of caterpillars and bugs in general, in my opinion. It seems to have more experts than butterfliesandmoths
