It's two matting by the stingers I can't fix it because I cropped the picture
Judging by the back legs, thorax and abdomen, I concur with Aaron on it being a Robber Fly.
Hi there. I can't see this one too well, but it looks like it could be a robber fly and not a hornet. Do you have any other images?
