Field Notes

Description:

Apalis, Scrub Robin & Prinia all come to mind.
Dark eye in dark eye/ear patch, pale throat, rump and tail-tip.

Habitat:

Botanical gardens in Table Mountain national park.

I have added another picture, the same photo but considerably lightened. It seems to have a little chin patch, does that give any clues?
The lack of any evidence of a pale stripe over the eye would make it a juvenile of that species but even then I would expect to see some red on the tail. A pity there was no light where it was perched. I tried lots of tricks with light room to get more detail but no joy.
