Field Notes

Habitat:

Found it in Vacaville, California at my parents house in the country. There are no near by major water sources. Just the big bucket the dogs drink from. It is always full of water. This was found under the bench cushion between the cushion and the bench.

Is it a frog or a toad? What kind?

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Don't think it is a California Treefrog unless it can travel that far. Those are in SoCal. Vacaville is in NorCal. Most likely a Pseudacris sierra - Sierran Treefrog since this species is not only abundant in the area but matches the pattern.
