Description:

± 25 mm - reddish brown with many hair visible, I was leaning towards Heteronychus arator, but this beetle is nearly twice its size. Sadly this one is dead and seems to have been eaten from the inside out? http://www.biodiversityexplorer.org/beetles/scarabaeidae/dynastinae/ind…

Habitat:

Found on a walk at Cape Point Nature Reserve.
