Field Notes
Description:
This insect is over an inch long, rather cumbersome, and it flies. It is found frequently on fruit trees and on white crepe myrtle trees. (That is where I see them anyway) I always called them Japanese Beetles. Some of my friends say it is a June Bug. I was under the impression the June bugs are much smaller and a cinnamon brown color. Looking for clarification!
