Field Notes

Description:

Your standard wolf spider, but with a really neat pattern. It has cream/black banded legs, a dark brown abdomen with cool spots, and is a blend of light and medium brown overall.

Habitat:

Riparian area

Notes:

Found on the sandy bank of the Tongue River at Matador WMA.

I haven't keyed out this lycosid before, so I don't recognize the genus. Any ID help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Didn't sit still for more than a few seconds at a time, so it was a minor challenge to grab photos. I picked the best ones I manage to take, but my phone camera is no Nikon, that's for sure.
