That sounds right to me too! I'm interested in the ID of this.
very interesting looking plant, I too am interested in what it is and why both purple and red are present. Maybe different stages of growth? Red when first bloomed and then turning purple as the flowers slowly die. They look like flowers you may see in potpourri or dried flower displays.
I am wondering why some parts were red and some were purple. Maybe a variation thing?
