Description:

This one is seen in the early mornings around a plants with flowers, collecting nectar. Makes a very annoying buzz when flying. Very hard to photograph as it sometimes gets insecure and comes right at you! :P

Habitat:

Around flowering plants.

Thanks Dangermouse.. Its most probably the same as u said.. but il wait for more suggestions..
Where I live, this would be a carpenter bee (xylocopa violacea) but I think perhaps in India it has a different name? Maybe this link will help - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpenter_bee.
